Two Rituals to Increase or Stabilize Your Wealth
By Benjamin James on June 03, 2008
Two Rituals to Increase or Stabilize Your Weatlh

Money Tree Ritual

This ritual is designed to increase wealth by using a tree or potted plant, which represents nature, growth, and life, to attract nurturing ch'i. Generally speaking, the larger the plant the more money it will attract; however, it must not overwhelm the rest of your room or home for that would upset the balance we strive to create with feng shui. Before you begin this ritual, clear all clutter in this section. Organize books, magazines, toys, furnishings, clothing, et cetera so that they are neat and orderly.

Now follow the steps outlined below:

1. Put all doubts aside and apply the concept of yi, discussed above, affirming silently or aloud that this ritual will indeed attract wealth in great measure, in a manner that is for the good of all. (This last part is very important, since you certainly don't want your financial gain to come through a misfortune such as receiving an insurance payoff when someone you love dies!)

2. Choose a plant that has rounded, upturning leaves. One with red flowers is also auspicious, since red and green are the colors of prosperity in China.

3. Place your plant in either a red or green container or wrap the container in red or green foil.

4. Light incense so that as the scented smoke wafts upward toward the heavens your intention is carried along with it.

5. Take any three coins and wrap each one in red paper or put all three in a red envelope. Place these underneath the plant's pot.

6. Tend your plant faithfully every day. Clip off any dead or withered leaves. Wash the leaves as necessary. Make sure the plant is adequately watered and fertilized. This regular attention reinforces your ritual by focusing your attention on your intention. As your plant grows, so will your fortune.

Ten Coins Ritual

This ritual is usually performed with ten real Chinese coins, but you may use ordinary coins if you wish. Chinese coins are circles with cut-out squares in the center; you can usually find them in shops that sell Chinese gifts. Then follow the steps below:

1. Put all negative thoughts and worries out of your mind and believe that your luck is going to change at the completion of this ritual.

2. Cut a red ribbon into ten nine-inch pieces.

3. Glue or paste each coin onto a piece of red ribbon, then tie the strips together so that they form a chain, each one hanging below the other.

4. Make a small loop at the top of the first segment of ribbon, so that you may hang it from the ceiling on a nail or thumbtack.

5. Hang the chain of coins from the ceiling in the "wealth" gua of your home.

It is important for you to know Feng Shui is an ancient spiritual discipline which makes use of a process that affects your internal landscape just as much as it affects your physical environment be your home or your office. Before you start practicing or using Feng Shui enhancements to your living or working environment it is important for you to know that it is for nourishing and healing your soul. In a Feng Shui practice one is enriching the soul by directing the energies of universe and natural elements such as wind, water, earth, metals to it.

It is so important to stay positive and constantly filled with good, flowing energy. If you do so, your life and all the things you are surrounded by will represent such wonderful qualities as health, happiness, prosperity, love and contentment.

One of the principles of Feng Shui is that Chi flows through all objects in a space, and each item that is present in or around your home has some effect on whether Chi moves freely or gets clogged up.

Feng Shui believes all types of energies on the earth fall in two opposite categories, yin and yang.

Is there Anyone here who Seriously KNOWS the Bagua areas of each room in a home AND whom I can email photos of each room of our home to for HELP. We recently moved into a house that we are having to remodel every room. At present every room is still cluttered from the move. SERIOUS HELP ONLY PLEASE. Thank you. (Jennifer, you seem to be quite knowledgable of this)?? Can you help me with this?

Comment #38 by Jennifer on August 30, 2009
From what I understand is that the wealth gua area is in the far left hand corner of the room or house. place a plant with rounded upturned leaves, if you have one with red flowers that would be good, since it symbolizes good fortune. place the plant in a red or green container or wrap it red or green foil, place three coins in a envelope and place underneath the plant. don't forget to stay in a positive frame of mind and don't forget to burn incense to send your good intentions to drift up into the universe. I hope this helps

Comment #39 by Kate on August 24, 2009
Forgot to tell you that the "Wealth Gua: is to the far left (like the far left corner) of the house. There are different two other guas for the left side of your home(or the room you're doing).

More precise Feng Shui uses directions and astrology when considering where to build, how to renovate etc. Most Americans are happy with "simple" Feng Shui, (i.e. the bagua is placed based on where you enter the house, rather than directions and birth year)if it works for them.

Comment #40 by Kate on August 24, 2009
The Bagua is an eight sided polygon and each segment represents a different aspect of life. To look at some baguas, go to:

http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=bagua&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g4g-s1g5

You use the bagua as a template and kind of mentally lay it over your home to see what areas to improve.

Keep googling and reading and asking questions!

there are many sites about feng shui online that answer so many of these questions you all have... it takes honest intentions and a little work to find out how prosperity works. don't just sit there on your fat asses watching tv and playing video games. look and work for the information you need to succeed.

IF THERE IS ONE THING I'VE LEARNED IN LIFE, IT'S THAT, NO AMOUNT OF MYSTICISM OR FANTASIZING OR ANY OF THAT CRAP WILL BRING YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT, UNLESS YOU FOLLOW IT WITH ACTION. I PERSONALLY KNOW AND BELIEVE, THAT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE, WHEN YOU TAKE ACTION, AND EXPECT A POSITIVE RESULT.

With a traditional Baiqua, when you stand inside, at the front door of your home, your wealth area is the back - left area of the home. Also, if you want to set each room, it is the back left area of every room, in the home.
