what the Miracle Food Market can offer you!
As a biochemist and world traveler, I’ve always been fascinated by how people across cultures have learned to heal themselves outside of the doctor’s office.
In industrialized countries, like my native France, or in America where I have lived for over 40 years now, the preferred method of treatment is with medicines, which are often expensive and have unpleasant side effects. However, in many places throughout the world, the approach to health is quite different. Instead of expensive pharmaceuticals to promote wellness, people seek out the natural remedies that are readily available in fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices.
Growing up in Africa, I saw tribal medicine men work veritable miracles with ingredients I now have in my very own kitchen cabinets. I learned that burns and skin rashes could be treated with remedies that came straight from a vegetable garden. I discovered that eating certain foods could eliminate ordinary problems like headaches. In short, I learned the healing properties of foods.
After witnessing many success stories, I began to use these foods not only for nourishment, but also for medicinal and cosmetic purposes too. When my child was stung by a bee, I applied a sliced cucumber and his tears stopped almost immediately. When a neighbor was suffering from migraine headaches, I suggested a hot ginger compress to ease the pain and I’m happy to say that she found relief from her lifelong problem. And when I began to develop tiny lines around my eyes, I started applying avocado oil instead of the expensive face lotion I had been using for years — you should see people’s reactions when I tell them my age!
You'll find a wealth of information on individual items that are readily available in your supermarket. I've also included recipes and preparation tips. In addition, I'll be keeping the Miracle Food Market up-to-date with the latest news on food and health.
By relying on Mother Nature’s infinite wisdom, we can all feel happier, healthier and livelier than ever before. So the next time you’re in search of a “miracle cure,” look no further than your own pantry...and the Miracle Food Market!
Yours in health,
Ghislaine
