Water, the Elixir of Life

Nearly three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is covered by water.  Our bodies are comprised of 60-70% water.  Humans can survive for only a very short while without this vital liquid.  Water is the basis of life, yet we often take it for granted, instead choosing soft drinks and alcoholic beverages that do more harm than good.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is drink at least 8 full glasses of water each day.  Not only does it cleanse your body of harmful toxins, it also improves your circulation and does wonders for your skin.  It just goes to show, the simplest things in life are often the best!

One should drink 1/2 gal of water a day is what I heard and if you work out with any regularity it should be minimum of a gallon. Then anything else you drink after that can be light.

That funny they have no idea some of us drink from 16oz or 32 oz glass I think 8 glass like that might be over kill. When they say a glass i wish they would say what size glass instead of a blanket statement. Rarly are glass 8oz anymore and a coffee or tea cup is either 6oz or 12oz.

I love to drink water but i have bad intergestion after wards no matter what i eat i know when i eat tomato or sauce i get it real bad just about anything i eat an drink water i was told bybthe docsi have bad acid refluxs i takeanacids but i cant aford the cost of them they cost 12.00 a week an thats50 a month even though it does help after i take them fo a while plus i have dibeteies thanks for listening

WATER is my favorite drink.

I can not live without water.

I am a runner for about 10+ years.

Holding 16 medals

7 marathon medals... 26.2 miles

4 medals... 18 milers

4 medals... 1/2 marathons 13.2 miles.

1 .. 20 miles medal.

and many other races I have participated without winning anything.

I must drink lots of water to dehidrated my body.

I listen to my body.

My body ask me for water.

My secret to keep drinking water.

I try different kinds of water.

My favorite... FIJI water.

I heard from a Doctor Johnson, that comes on the radio, Monday-Friday, that too much water is not good for you. He said that we need only about 20 ounces of fluids a day. The station is KGGR 1040 am @11:30 am. S. Holmes (Dallas, Texas) September 26, 2009
