Healing Yogurt Preparations

Beauty Treatments; try a yogurt facial The rich, creamy texture of yogurt makes a wonderful facial treatment. Yogurt is slightly acid also, which helps to bring the acid-alkaline pH of your skin into balance. Make sure your skin is clean, then massage plain, natural yogurt in a gentle, circular motion all over your face - your neck will benefit, too! Wash and follow with your favorite toner and moisturizer.
Healing Recipe: Yogurt Salad Dressing This is one of my favorite salad dressing recipes. It takes a little preparation, but the result is well worth it. You won’t want to stop eating it once you taste it!
- 1 cup plain yogurt (use low fat to make a reduced-calorie version)
- 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 5 fresh spinach leaves, well washed
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1. Wash spinach leaves, parsley and basil carefully and rinse in cold water. 2. Peel garlic cloves and chop. 3. Blend all the ingredients, except for yogurt, in a blender for about a minute. 4. While blender is still running, add yogurt. As soon as the dressing thickens, turn off the blender. 5. Chill for 1/2 hour before serving. 6. Some times this dressing “separates” while it sits. Just give it a stir (or shake if you have it in a sealed bottle) before serving.
