How To Use Parsley
Make a tea Boil water and pour into a teacup containing a heaping teaspoon of shredded parsley. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, covered with a saucer; strain if you wish before drinking.
Fresh Is Best Dried, chopped parsley for cooking can be found in the spice department of your supermarket. As a remedy, however, it just doesn’t have the punch that fresh parsley does. Most supermarkets sell fresh parsley by the bunch in the produce department. It comes in two varieties, either curly or flat-leafed, both of which possess the same healing qualities.
Grow Your Own The only problem is that supermarkets tend to sell bunches that are too big and you wind up having to throw some out (unless you’re making a lot of tea). But since parsley is fairly easy to grow as a window herb, you can grow it on your own, picking a sprig as you need it. Some supermarkets even sell potted herbs (mine does). That way, you’ll always have the freshest parsley, and a nice new plant to boot.
