About Rev. Louise and the Manidoo Prayer Community
It is with great pleasure that we greet all who have come to Manidoo Village for prayers and spiritual support.
Rev. Louise’s religious upbringing took place in an Italian-Catholic household. Sundays were spent going to morning Mass with her family. She felt especially close to the Blessed Mother Mary in those days, relishing her participation in the May crowning celebration that happened each year. Prayer for her at that time came from prayer books and catechisms, which meant that there were words to say for very specific occasions, such as healing for a loved one or prayers for forgiveness of our sins.
When she attended a state college, Rev. Louise found herself turning from the structure of the Catholic Church. But she continued to pray in her own words to God, Jesus and Mary. This felt very right to her even though her religious upbringing would have not approved.
Through the years of studying for degrees in psychology and counseling, getting married and having two wonderful daughters, Rev. Louise has found that she is most comfortable talking with God on her own.
Then a major shift happened in her life nearly 30 years ago. Rev. Louise continues below in her own inspiring words:
“I gradually became aware of my spiritual healing abilities, in particular the ability to perceive and communicate with those who had crossed over into the spirit realms, my ability to assist others through energy healing, and my channeling ability. As you might well imagine, these newly-found talents were amazing to me because they had never been tapped.
Through all of this spiritual opening up process, prayer has become an even more central part of my daily living. I like to call talking with God or my angelic guides “dialoguing” because of the interaction, the giving and receiving of communication that takes place when I open myself up to God.”
Our intention for each of you who has come to Manidoo Village’s prayer website is to assist you in finding the words that work for you in connecting to God. Together we can discover the solace and peace that exists within us when we open ourselves to God’s loving presence.
By providing you with useful examples of powerful, prayerful communication, Manidoo Village hopes to give you the courage and support you need to continue speaking with God each day. Together we can also create a supportive community to assist everyone who requests words of hope and encouragement to face life’s challenges. We look forward to accepting you and embracing you as we journey through life together.
Many blessings,
Manidoo Village Prayer Team and Rev. Louise
