We of the Manidoo Prayer Team want to thank everyone who participated in the Manidoo Million Prayer Event chat room on October 1, 2008. The response was outstanding and so gratifying to all of us at Manidoo.com.

At any given time, several dozen people were logged onto the Manidoo Prayer Chat Room during the 24 hours of the prayer event on October 1, 2008. Manidoo Prayer Team members moderated and participated in ongoing discussions in the prayer chat room. Lively discussions about the meaning of prayer, specific prayer requests from participants, and how people could continue to support one another through the prayer chat room continued thoughout the day and evening.

Many participants had financial concerns and were giving one another advise on how to deal with the strains of home foreclosures, economic difficulties and on the health and well being of family members, among other topics. The discussions always came back to the topic of prayer and especially saying prayers for those involved.

Humor was a wonderful part of the chat room. It was obvious to all that, despite the seriousness of some problems presented for prayers, everyone was willing to get right back to the giving and receiving of prayers for all involved. This also led to prayers being said for all people in the world and for specific issues such as world poverty or the plight of children everywhere.

Before the chatting was through, people felt a close heart-felt connection with all they spoke with. What was most heartening was when the more reluctant participants, (those who were following the dialogues but not contributing) had the courage to step forward with their specific needs or comments. Mutual respect and loving support was evident to all who participated in the Manidoo Prayer Chat Room dialogues.
